in our modern society, people have more and more digital interactions. through our virtual identity, we can show different sides of ourselves. the constant online stream of photos and updates about our lives regulates our ‘electronic self’. what do i show and what not? who am i? or who do i want to be?

the spring summer ’19 collection of first of august is inspired by our ‘electronic self’. we construct our identity more than before and we show this (un)consciously to our environment. but to whom we present our ‘electronic self’ if it is not a face-to-face encounter but a virtual encounter?
